Yesterday I took the day off from work and I was supposed to stay with the kids at home in the morning and in the afternoon they would go to daycare . Catherine class was going to the movies, and for the first time in many, many months I would have the afternoon for myself. I had everything planned: blogging to-write-list, email management, a complete schedule for all the tasks I have to do regarding blogging.
Well, I received some good news in the morning that ruined my entire afternoon, but good news are always good news.
Catherine surgery was rescheduled for January 8th, next Tuesday. After all that happened with her previous surgery schedule I am a little afraid. Why, because she has a nasal congestion and some yellowish mucus. So, this afternoon I spoke with her otorrino to let him know that. He advised me to see the family doctor and ask for an antibiotic. The surgery is in 6 days, meaning we have 5 days to treat her. I went to the clinic to see the doctor and he assured me that she’s going to be fine for the surgery. She’s already taking an antibiotic, an antihistamine and a spray to reduce the swollen adenoid.
She has nothing serious and this all wouldn’t be needed if it wasn’t the surgery. The yellowish mucus must disappeared in five days. Although the doctor was really certain that she will be fine on the surgery day, well, with the bad luck of 2007 I’m doubtful. Maybe the bad luck is no longer with us in 2008.
