Saturday it was the big party. Many things were prepared the night before and Saturday morning I just had to prepare the table with all the necessary things for a a kids party. I bought some thematic plates and napkins, WWE for the boys and Hello Kitty for the girls.

Pizza was a “must” in the table and well appreciated by all kids. Jelly, cakes, sweets, lollipops, fruit salad, etc. etc. etc..

There were 26 kids in the house, they behaved quite well (not mentioning the water balloons bursting on top of some of them), the overall result was a positive one. Although some of them where kind of “violent” while playing, no one got insured. As the house is big they were able to split themselves among the rooms, some where in the computer, some in the PS2, some in the living room watching TV and others in the play room. We had a sunny day so they were also able to have some fun outside.

Here is the photo of the cake:

Again a picture from the same soccer club but with one player.

He received many gifts, from clothes, books, toys, PS2 game, etc. Here is a picture of some:

The kids had a great time and my son had a really happy day. I’m glad for that.

This was the cake we ate Friday night at home, just the four of us. This lion is a funny image of the SCP soccer club mascot.

He’s growing, he’s already 9 years old, he’s a big boy.

We are going to have three cakes, one for daycare, the place where he stays every day after school, one cake for tonight at home and one cake for tomorrow’s big birthday party.

Here is a picture of the cake that I took to daycare: dscf0019.JPG

More cake pictures to come on my next posts.

We are in the Carnival season. Carnival involves masquerades and street parades.
Today most of the schools participated in a street parade in the city. Each school chooses a outfit, and all the kids are dressed the same way.

Other schools, like the one my kids attend, prefer not to participate in the parade and make their own fun party at school. All kids were free to choose their outfit, usually they masquerade according to something they like.

My son’s outfit is a Ninja and my daughter’s is a Princess. They were really excited today and they even got up early in the morning to get dressed. (It’s also my son’s birthday - Next post)
